Al Timon is a bar in Cannaregio which you can find on the Fondamenta degli Ormesini. It is quite small inside, but has
outdoor seating by the Ormesini Canal. We have passed many a lovely evening (and day here). The crowd is mixed, local and quite hip, but not intimidatingly so. This is a great place for drinks and light snacks. The bar man here is broodingly handsome, which obviously adds to the overall ambience.
It is also located on the same Canal where author Jon Berendt rented an apartment, which was where he wrote "The City of Fallen Angels"about Venice and it's vivid and sometimes infamous characters.
